Rodney Smith BIOGRAPHY
Rodney Smith has been a professional photographer for over 40 years. His imagery is rich in psychological and emotional nuance that has won praise from art critics and curators. His work is in the permanent collection of numerous museums including Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven, CT; Philadelphia Museum of Art; Brandeis University Museum, Waltham, MA and Houston Museum of Fine Arts as well as prestigious corporate collections such as American Express, IBM, Morgan Stanley, BMW, Ritz Carlton and The New York City Ballet.
In addition to his personal and corporate work, Mr. Smith has been commissioned by numerous fashion companies including Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Paul Stuart and Ralph Lauren and his editorial clients include The New York Times Magazine, Vanity Fair, Esquire, Fortune Magazine and New York Magazine. In 2010, 7 Editions published his 4th book entitled “The End.”
Mr. Smith graduated from the University of Virginia in 1970 and Yale Divinity School in 1973. He currently resides in a small town on the Hudson near New York City.
